Scanner Antennas
I carry two antennas in my bag. They are light and don't take up much room. I use the stubby antenna at most tracks and it picks up everything just fine. Some of the larger tracks (Indianapolis, road courses) require the longer antenna in order to hear everything.

Scanner Headset
Obviously a scanner needs a headset so you can hear during the race. Mine is a middle-of-the-road model. I replaced the factory ear seals with the gel ones you see here and recommend them. They are very comfortable.
