By now you're probably wondering who the heck I am and why you should care what I think. Well, to put it simply, I love NASCAR. I can still clearly remember my first Winston Cup race. I went to Michigan in 1976 or 77, and was simply amazed that there, right in front of me, were Richard Petty, Bobby Allison, Cale Yarborough and the rest. My heros racing by in person instead of a picture in a newspaper or a 10 second clip on television (this was long before regular flag-to-flag television coverage) To say the least I was hooked.
These days I am fortunate enough to attend 7 or 8 races each year and I'm a member of the National Motorsports Press Association (NMPA). I also have a couple of friend-of-a-friend types who slip me some hot gossip now and then. So stop by regularly to see what this fan has to say and feel free to argue or ask questions. I'm always willing to defend my opinion or help out another race fan and if I don't know the answer I'll find it for you. I want to share my passion for this sport. Let's go racing!
