Track Layout: 1.99-mile hilly road course
Important Track Dates: 1968: Construction of original 2.52 mile road course and drag strip

1989: First NASCAR Race on 2.52 mile

1998: NASCAR Drivers now use "The Chute" a high speed straight instead of the winding carousel turn section of the course - NASCAR track now 1.949 miles

2000: More track changes. Length now 1.99 miles

2001: Even more track changes. Length now 2.0 miles

2002: Incredibly, even more track changes. Length now back to 1.99 miles

West Coast Road Racing: One of only two road courses on the NASCAR NEXTEL Cup schedule Infineon Raceway in Sonoma California always puts on a close and interesting race.

This race track was formerly known as Sears Point Raceway until Infineon Technologies, a German company, purchased the naming rights in 2002.
