Wide and fast can make great racing or it can make a good race to nap through. That same wide track also keeps the number of cautions down which sometimes allows the leaders to get away from the pack.
Races at Michigan often come down to fuel mileage battles as the long green flag runs make pit strategy critical to finding victory lane.
In person, the sightlines are excellent here and there are very few (if any) bad seats. Well worth the trip as long as you're not in a hurry to get home. Traffic can be an issue here.
