NASCAR's Shortest Short Track: Martinsville Speedway's flat paperclip shaped oval is a short track racer's dream. 500 laps here consists of 1000 drag races and 1000 U-turns. Tight racing guarantees bent fenders and short tempers as Martinsville truly defines the phrase "Rubbin is racing."

Very fan friendly Martinsville boasts some of the best post-race traffic I've ever experienced. Reasonable concession prices (compared to some newer tracks) and great sightlines from most every seat in the house make Martinsville one of the better places to bring the family to the race.

One quirky thing about Martinsville as compared to many other tracks; no alcohol is sold there and Martinsville authorities will actually make you dump out a beer if you are not within the seating area. Trust me on that one. :)
