1) NASCAR Tickets
What better gift than to surprise the NASCAR fan on your list with race tickets? Most any race will do but for a special treat buy tickets to the big events like Daytona, Talladega, the night race at Bristol in August or the Coca-Cola 600 in May. 2) True Speed: My Racing Life
2005 was Tony Stewart's year and this is Tony Stewart's autobiography. This book will really get you inside his head and help you understand what makes the 2005 Champion tick. Tony wrote this book with noted NASCAR author Bones Bourcier. From playing with Matchbox cars through his success in NEXTEL Cup Tony covers the triumphs and the controversy head on. You may not agree with him but you've got to respect his no-holds barred attitude.
3) NASCAR Scene
This weekly NASCAR newspaper covers NEXTEL Cup, Busch Grand National and the Craftsman Truck series in depth. If your race fan likes to stay on top of NASCAR then this is a sure hit.
4) NASCAR Illustrated
NASCAR Illustrated is more friendly and accessible than the hardcore NASCAR Scene. NASCAR Illustrated is packed with driver profiles, interviews and excellent full-color photography while the Scene is packed with more news but less pretty pictures. Getting harder and harder to find but this is as close as you can get to real racing. The final member of Papyrus' hit NASCAR series boasts incredible graphics and an all-new physics engine. One warning though, if you are buying this game for you "significant other" you might not see them as often anymore because this sim is extremely addicting.
6) Logitech Momo Racing Force Feedback Steering Wheel
If you are going to race NASCAR on your PC then you have to have a wheel, anything else just isn't the same. The Logitech Momo Racing is the best force-feedback wheel available on the market today.
7) ReplayTV

Who wouldn't love the opportunity to jump into the drivers' seat of a NEXTEL Cup race car at Bristol or Daytona? Prices range from about $100 to ride with a professional driver up to a full 3-day racing school which runs closer to $2,500.

10) Daytona: From the Birth of Speed to the Death of the Man in Black
Ed Hinton has been around NASCAR a very long time. In this book he shares his thirty-plus years of racing stories in an entertaining and quick-reading collection of vignettes. The book begins with AJ Foyt showing his temper before the amazing 1976 Daytona 500 and ends with the loss of Dale Earnhardt in 2001. In between it wanders forwards and backwards in time in a truly engaging collection of stories. This book is truly a treasure and will be enjoyed by any NASCAR fan on your list.
