Career Highlights:

2002 - NASCAR Cup Series debut for injured Sterling Marlin

2002 - Won first Cup Series race in only second start (Lowes - October)

2004 - Missed "The Chase" but earned $1 million bonus for finishing 11th in points

Jamie McMurray - All The Tools:

Jamie McMurray blasted onto the NASCAR scene in 2002. He was filling in for the injured Sterling Marlin in the Chip Ganassi #40 when won in only his second start.

Since his ferocious start Jamie hasn't been able to quite find his footing in the NEXTEL Cup series. He still has never returned to Victory Lane and has never cracked the top ten in the season ending point standings.

Beginning in 2006 Jamie switched to Roush Racing to take over the ride that Kurt Busch vacated when he moved to Penske Racing. Kurt Busch won the 2004 NEXTEL Cup Championship with this team and then made The Chase again in 2005.

Jamie has that proven Roush Racing equipment. Can he recapture the magic from his 2002 splash? Or was that just one lucky night in Charlotte? Time will tell but one thing is clear. Jamie McMurray has everything he needs to become a force in NASCAR NEXTEL Cup racing.
