A Rising Star:

Ask any random person on the street to name a NASCAR NEXTEL Cup driver and very few will name Elliott Sadler. But just because he is not a household name does not mean that he is not a force in NASCAR Racing.

He started his career with the legendary Wood Brothers and was able to score his first NASCAR NEXTEL Cup series win at Bristol Motor Speedway in 2001 for them. After a frustrating 2002 season Elliott left the Wood Brothers to join Robert Yates Racing for 2003.

The 2004 season was his best to date as he gained two more wins (Texas and California) plus he stayed in the top ten in points all year long and qualified for the Chase For The Cup.

After struggling in 2005 and 2006 Sadler left Yates for Evernham Motorsports.
