1992 - First NEXTEL Cup start (Rockingham)

1995 - World of Outlaws Champion

2004 - Left Bill Davis for Richard Childress Racing

The Buckeye Bullet:

Dave Blaney is the kind of driver that will usually bring the car back in one piece. He is rarely over-aggressive.

This is a great benefit for a team that needs to focus on improving next week's race package instead of repairing last week's car. However, if you rarely get aggressive and cross the boundaries of what the car can do are you getting everything out of the car that it has to offer?

Dave is a solid NEXTEL Cup driver. However, in his long NEXTEL Cup career he has never shown any real flashes of greatness.
