Started five races in 1999. Official rookie season was 2000 which featured two wins (Texas and Richmond) and two poles (Charlotte and Michigan). Did not win Rookie Of The Year, Matt Kenseth beat him for that honor.

1999 - Busch Series Champion

2003 - Career best Sprint Cup points finish, third.

2007 - Leaves Dale Earnhardt Inc.

Although he hasn't won a Sprint Cup championship yet Dale Earnhardt Jr inherited many of his father's fans after Dale Earnhardt Senior was tragically killed during the Daytona 500 in 2001. In addition, Dale appeals to many of NASCAR's younger fans with his hip, youthful image.
