The wide racing surface at Michigan International Speedway seems to attract fuel mileage battles. The 2008 LifeLock 400 turned into fuel mileage race and it was Dale Earnhardt Jr. who had the right strategy and the right amount of fuel to claim the win.

Earnhardt finished the race on fumes and needed a push from his crew to make it to Victory Lane.
