2008 NASCAR Nationwide Series Point Standings

Carl Edwards did everything that he could to overcome Clint Bowyer's point lead in the 2008 Nationwide Series championship. Edwards' season ending charge included wins in three of the last four races but he ended up 21 points short of his ultimate goal.

Clint Bowyer played it safe in Homestead and finished fifth to clinch the 2008 NASCAR Nationwide Series title.
