The questions in this book run the full range of difficulty so that new fans curious about some basic background trivia on their new sport can learn from questions like "How long is Michigan Speedway?" (Page 111). While the seasoned NASCAR veteran who is looking for a challenge can enjoy working through the more obscure NASCAR knowledge such as "Who drove a Lincoln to its first NASCAR Victory?" (Page 170). Keeping score as you progress through the book is done in a very creative and fun way. Each chapter contains thirty-five questions plus two bonus questions each worth five points. So if you get every question right you have scored 175 points for the win plus ten bonus points just like a Winston Cup driver who wins the race and collects the bonus points for leading the most laps! This ingenious points system culminates in the final "How did you score?" chapter where your total score for the season is matched up against the chart and you are assigned a rating from "NASCAR Rookie" all the way up to "NASCAR Champion." I really enjoyed this trivia book and have loaned it out to other NASCAR fans so that we could compare scores and compete against each other. If you love this sport and want to know more about it or if you are a new fan trying to pick up some of the history of NASCAR this entertaining book is for you. |
