Logitech Wingman Formula Force by Steve McCormick
Logitech's flashy look, comfortable ergonomics and great force feedback effects make this a solid force feedback choice. The Looks The bright red textured rubber steering wheel jumps right out at you while the plastic diamond plate pedals complete the look. This wheel looks great with a fit and finish that just feels better than the others. Convenience The clamping mechanism consists of two rocker arms that you twist up tight with knobs. It's not the most convenient clamp but it works ok. The Feel The textured rubber made this wheel comfortable to hold on to when the game got hot and heavy. The four steering wheel mounted buttons and two shifting paddles were well placed and easily reachable. The pedal unit is low profile for comfort but stays in place well when racing. The Logitech wheel's effects felt the most realistic to me. (again, I've never actually driven a race car into the wall at 150 mph, but it I ever do this is what I expect the steering wheel to feel like) No dramatic lurches when the wheels break loose but rather a "lightness." When you get a solid run up off the corner the wheel gets a little bit heavier under the weight of the car. Overall, this wheel gave me the best force feedback sensation and control. Other Features The four wheel-mounted buttons and two paddle shifters are completely programmable with any keystroke or combination of keystrokes. This allows you to put your 6 most frequently used functions right on the wheel so you don't have to fumble around the keyboard in the heat of the battle. Pros
