1 Sterling Marlin Still managing to hang onto the points lead Sterling always finds his way to the front.
11 Ricky Rudd A force every week. Yates should give Ricky the one-year deal he wants.
8 Mark Martin Mark is not dominating races but always manages to peak for the last 25 laps.
9 Jimmie Johnson On any given day Jimmie Johnson can win.
2 Tony Stewart Bad luck is haunting the Gibbs guys this season but Tony is still a threat.
4 Matt Kenseth If it weren't for restrictor plate races Matt would be the points leader.
7 Jeff Gordon It seems strange not to have Gordon dominating every week.
19 Bill Elliott Awesome Bill is showing some of that 80's spirit again.
15 Kurt Busch Ok, so maybe he really is this good.
5 Rusty Wallace Fourth in points, but only has one top five this season.
12 Dale Jarrett You know this team is better than this, but Dale still hasn't performed like he should.
20 Ricky Craven Continuing to be strong, this team has suprised a lot of people this year.
13 Jeff Burton Benefiting from an improving Roush program but it might be time for him to move on.
6 Ryan Newman Has fast cars but all too often makes rookie mistakes.
3 Dale Earnhardt Jr. Off-and-on season has been more off than on.
15 Jimmy Spencer Not a winning threat, but a solid top-ten pick most weeks.
10 Bobby Labonte What's wrong with Bobby? This team is one of the big surprises of 2002.
17 Ward Burton Still sliding, maybe Ward is another driver who could benefit from a change of scenery?
16 Johnny Benson Runs up front when he's healthy.
22 Eliott Sadler Talented driver getting the most out of his equipment.
24 Bobby Hamilton Just announced that he's leaving this ride. Look for him in the Petty #44 for 2003.
25 Dave Blaney Usually runs up front but doesn't seem to be finishing there..
18 Kevin Harvick This has been the mother of all "Sophomore Slumps."
** Kyle Petty After a couple of emotionally trying seasons Kyle has had some good runs.
** Jeff Green Another plesant surprise for 2002, Jeff could climb higher if he keeps it up.
