Top Row Seat - Michigan

Dateline: 06/15/99

Dale Jarrett was unstoppable as he lead 300 of the 400 mile race and took home the checkered flag in Michigan. Although the broadcast team was desperately trying to make a race out of it DJ and the rest of the Robert Yates Racing #88 team left little doubt about who was truly the man to beat in Michigan.

Michigan Speedway is famous for having great views for the fans and great racing on the track for them to see. And the first fifty laps of this week's race proved the great "raceability" Roger Penske's facility.

Unfortunately, after the first round of green-flag pit stops the field was spread out enough that the rest of the day was spent just watching Dale Jarrett drive in circles. The CBS on-air personalities tried in vain to find something to talk about, but there was no mistaking the fact that DJ was stinking up the show.

Congratulations to the #88 Quality Care team for the dominating performance.
