oversteer

Definition: A condition that results when the front tires are getting a better grip on the racetrack than the rear tires. This causes the back end to want to come around in the turns making the nose of the car point towards the inside of the corner.

More commonly used in other types of racing.

Also Known As: loose
Examples:
Putting more air in the front tires is one way to correct a slight oversteer. It will cause the front tires to have a little less grip.
