The 2013 Sprint Unlimited featured a brand new Gen6 race car that had seen limited successful drafting practice as well as an uncertain race format. Fans decided how the cars would line up, how many laps were in each segment, pit stops and more.
After preseason testing and yesterday's practice each saw multi-car wrecks it seemed almost inevitable that we would see another one during this event. It didn't take long as seven cars were eliminated in a segment one crash that was caused by a car not even involved in the wreck.
Kevin Harvick had one thing that was within his teams control. He brought a fast race car to the event. It paid off as he blocked hard on the last lap and claimed the win.
