New NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team owner Brandon Davis has promised that he has no intention of being a start-and-park team. Davis is the head of the brand new Swan Racing team which will field David Stremme in the #30 Toyota for the complete 2013 NASCAR Sprint Cup season.
David Stremme ran for rookie of the year honors in 2006 and has 165 career Sprint Cup starts for a series of car owners including Chip Ganassi, Felix Sabates and Roger Penske. He is winless so far with three top five finishes to his credit.
Brandon Davis bought out Inception Racing late in 2012 and takes the name Swan Racing from his career as the CEO of oil and gas company Swan Energy Inc. He has hired living legend Steve Hmiel as director of competition and is showing all the right signs of truly racing for wins.
I'm excited to see the sport growing with a new competitive team. Welcome Swan Racing!
