For the second time in two nights Homestead-Miami Speedway produced a first time winner. Regan Smith scored the first Nationwide Series win of his career but the real focus of the night was on the Championship battle.
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. needed to finish sixteenth or better to guarantee himself his second Nationwide Series crown in a row. He ran a safe, solid race. Hung around near the front all night long and finished sixth to close out the crown.
