The 2012 Goody's Fast Relief 500 at Martinsville Speedway began with long green flag runs and ended with fireworks.
Martinsville dominators Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson were poised to add to their impressive Martinsville win totals but a crash during a green-white-checkers restart ended their hopes of a win.
Ryan Newman avoided the mess, went from fifth to first in turn one and held on to take the win.
