Jimmie Johnson looked like a sure bet to win his fourth Dover race in the last five tries. Johnson dominated the first half of the 2011 FedEx 400 at Dover International Speedway before Carl Edwards took over at the top. However, when it came down to crunch time both drivers took four tires on the final pit stop and lost the race.
Matt Kenseth's team made the better call in the closing laps. Kenseth took two tires at the end, passed Mark Martin on the track and took the win.
