Brian Vickers was forced to drop out of NASCAR earlier this year after blood clots were discovered in his chest. Since we last heard from him in May Brian has endured, and fully recovered from, open heart surgery that repaired a hole in his heart. Brian now claims to be in the best shape of his life and looking forward to getting back into racing.
Vickers didn't make many friends when he scored his first win in 2006 amid some controversial Talladega contact. Before that he triggered Tony Stewart's temper in Somona in 2004.
Brian Vickers is a solid driver who would make a great addition to any team. I hope he catches a ride for 2011.
