Point leader Kevin Harvick is having a good week. On Sunday he picked up his third win of the 2010 NASCAR Sprint Cup season. Today Richard Childress Racing announced a three year deal for Budweiser to be the primary sponsor on Harvick's #29 for 20 regular season races plus the two non-points events. Budweiser will be an associate sponsor for the remaining events.
Harvick will become the latest in a long line of NASCAR stars to drive the Budweiser colors. Darrell Waltrip and Neil Bonnett were "Double Bud Thunder" in the mid-eighties. Bill Elliott lost the 1992 Championship to Alan Kulwicki by just 10 points in the Budweiser car. In recent years Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Kasey Kahne have carried the familiar Budweiser logo on the hood.
