Kevin Harvick claimed his third win of 2010 with a strong late-race run in the 2010 CARFAX 400 at Michigan International Speedway. The Chase for the Cup was the focus of the day. Kevin Harvick clinched his spot in the 2010 Chase and added ten points to his seed with the win.
At the opposite end of the Chase standings Mark Martin came into the race twelfth in points but struggled all day. Martin ended up 28th and lost one spot in the points to Clint Bowyer. Bowyer now holds the final Chase qualifying spot by 35 points with three races remaining until the Chase locks in after Richmond.
It looks like the battle for twelfth is going to come down to the wire between two of the nicest guys in the sport.
