NASCAR won't announce the official 2011 Sprint Cup schedule for a couple more days however a few details are slipping out. Brian France hinted that there would be "impactful"changes to the 2011 schedule when it is officially announced.
The biggest changes that we know so far are that Chicagoland Speedway is moving to the first race of The Chase and that Kentucky Speedway will claim one of California's race dates.
Is NASCAR doing itself justice by kicking off the most exciting part of the season at the most boring track? Do these changes qualify as impactful?

I sure hope that Goodyear is going to provide studded tires for the race teams. They will need them to race on the ice.
