Mark Martin Dominates at Chicagoland

Sunday July 12, 2009
The 2009 LifeLock.com 400 at Chicagoland Speedway gave NASCAR fans the kind of race that we have come to expect here. Long green flag runs and complete domination by one or two cars are pretty common at Chicagoland Speedway. Clean air is so important that the leader has a huge advantage versus cars racing back in the pack.

Mark Martin dominated this week's race. He lead 195 of the 267 lap event and pulled away on the final restart to claim the win.

Chicagoland belongs in the same bucket with California. Both of these race tracks desperately need to be reconfigured to improve the quality of racing.

I was at the race and was very impressed with the Chicagoland Speedway. The race itself was very boring for the first 200 laps.It was just a parade.Nascar racing just doesn’t seem to be very exciting anymore. There just doesn’t seem to be any motivation to win.Could it be that drivers are just paid to well and they don’t really care?..Why risk anything, just drive around and get a top ten,What has racing come too..where is the drive to be a winner?

I agree with you tyler the new tracks like chicago and california are very boring to watch and need taken off the circuit. The new drivers also have no talent and are spoiled and most are living off of their fathers names and accomplishments.
