Kasey Kahne Takes Infineon For First Career Road Race Win

Monday June 22, 2009
The 2009 Toyota / Save Mart 350 started as a strategic battle and ended as an all out dash for cash. Kasey Kahne survived a series of late race double-file restarts with second place Tony Stewart along side to claim the win.

I was happy that this one didn't end up as another fuel-mileage race. I like to see them racing hard for the win instead of limping around and saving fuel.

So disappointing to see NASCAR make sure that a Hendrick car won again this week.

OH WAIT…

Boy there a lot of comments on this raceP at 7:26 AM PST the day after it concluded. I normally do not watch road races unless there is nothing else on TV. There was nothing else on TV. I have to say the side by side restarts made things interesting, but it’s still boring. Congrads to Kasey. He did win right?
