Will a Hired Gun Score In Sonoma?

Thursday June 18, 2009
2009 Toyota Save Mart 350 at Infineon RacewayThis weekend the 2009 Toyota Save Mart 350 at Infineon Raceway marks the first of two road races on the 2009 NASCAR Sprint Cup calendar.

NASCAR drivers are not known for their road racing skills. However the "road race aces" who invade the series twice each year have never picked up a win. This year Ron Fellows, Boris Said and Patrick Carpentier headline the hired road racing guns. Is this the year that one of them surprises the Sprint Cup stars?

Yes, I agree, a Hendrick car has to find a way to win. These NASCAR drivers have skills, and hopefully the top drivers can blow
exhaust on the road drivers….Good Luck guys.

Man David ………. you are a bitter, bitter person, aren’t you? It is more like a Hendrick driver will DRIVE himself to a win.

Well if it weren’t for Hendrick over have the field would not have engines or a chance to win. You just have to admit it Hendrick cars are just better than most. Tony Stewart would be in a world of hurt if not for the Hendrick
chassis and engines. hate em or not just the facts.

I just read that bill france is looking at other foreign car makers as a back up plan if gm &chrysler cant make it through the problems they have.nascar is american . ford, gm,chrysler, are american! france & family must be looking at pocket change instead of the sport. with all the changes they have made its not the same as it was in the 70s & 80s .you are just after the money & not the sport.
