Jimmie Johnson Wins 2008 Sprint Cup Championship

Sunday November 16, 2008
For the second day in a row Carl Edwards did everything he could to win a championship and came up short. Today he again won the race in Homestead but once again his points competitor finished safely within his safety margin to clinch the title and leave Edwards second in points.

Jimmie Johnson's third consecutive championship was never in danger today as his team played it safe, finished fifteenth, and ensured their place in history. Congratulations to Jimmie Johnson and the entire Hendrick Motorsports team for a very impressive 2008 NASCAR Sprint Cup series title.

LOL it sure is rigged, remember when robbys car and I belive harvicks at one point went up in smoke because of the black box.
Okay well heres how its rigged, NASACAR controls horsepower and traction throught the black box real time. Ever wonder how when theres been some kinda trama in the sport the driver that can heal the problem always wins.
DUH its all in the box and NASCARS tweaking em all race long! They can cut horsepower and traction and the funny part is the crew chief is thinking he’s a hero when he has little control!

Nice read HotRod, but you forgot to mention that, the driver we love to hate, Kyle Bush was heading for glory until the first race of the chase and then it was all Jimmie. Not even Cousin Carl and his duck had a chance.
