2008 Ford Championship Weekend

Thursday November 13, 2008
2008 Ford 400 at Homestead-Miami SpeedwayThe final race of the 2008 NASCAR season is here. All three of NASCAR's top touring series will converge on Homestead-Miami Speedway this weekend and determine their series champions during Ford Championship Weekend.

The Craftsman Truck Series is by far the best points battle as Johnny Benson leads Ron Hornaday by just three points. The Nationwide Series is also a good battle with Carl Edwards cutting steadily into Clint Bowyer's lead until just 56 points remain coming into Homestead.

The Sprint Cup Series Championship gets most of the hype but the best point battles in 2008 will be determined on Friday and Saturday nights when the truck and Nationwide Series events will run.

You just watch…this race will run over in time too and ABC will drop coverage of this race, even if it is the championship race! And seriously, knock Jimmie out early! It’s sad to say but I’d rather see Kyle Busch get the championship than Jimmie get it a 3rd time in a row. Let’s talk about somebody else for a while…

Why would anyone care about this race? Everyone knows the whole thing is rigged.
