2008 Chase Standings

Jimmie Johnson looks to have a stranglehold on his third consecutive Championship but that does not mean that there aren't some good points battles left in the 2008 Chase for the Cup. The bottom five Chase drivers are separated by only 34 points going into the final race in Homestead.

It is not as glamorous as racing for the title but there is a big difference in the size of the check given to the eighth place finisher versus the twelfth place driver. Those five teams will be points racing this weekend trying to gain every possible spot in the final standings.
