Chase Rolls Into Lowes Motor Speedway

Thursday October 9, 2008
2008 Bank of America 500 at Lowes Motor SpeedwayLast week Jimmie Johnson avoided troubles in Talladega and extended his point lead over Carl Edwards and Greg Biffle. This week the Chase visits Lowes Motor Speedway for the 2008 Bank of America 500.

Jimmie Johnson dominates all active drivers at Lowes Motor Speedway in just about every category. However it was Kasey Kahne who had the hot hand when the Sprint Cup series was here in May. Kahne won both the All-Star and Coca-Cola 600 events and now has his sights set on becoming the first driver to ever sweep all three Sprint Cup races at Lowes.

Jimmie Johnson didn’t avoid getting into trouble, he never was near it. This is the way he will be for the rest of the season. Being very conservative so as to not jeopardize his chances for another championship. It would not surprise me if he didn’t win another race.

Were you watching it during the Cousin-Carl induced wreck? Jimmie missed it by about a foot.
