2008 Chase Rolls Into Kansas Speedway
Wednesday September 24, 2008
This weekend the 2008 Chase for the Cup visits Kansas Speedway for race number three of the ten race Chase. This 1.5 mile cookie-cutter track hasn't been on the schedule long but is already starting to produce some good racing. The 2006 and 2007 events were both full of good racing and interesting finishes.
Greg Biffle won that first two Chase races so far in 2008. Now he returns to Kansas Speedway where he was awarded a controversial victory in 2007. Can Greg Biffle win his third in a row and claim the Chase lead?

Lets hope not. I think the guys that have really been working hard need to have a win… This guy just now comes into the picture and that is not good……
Why not Biffle has worked hard just to be in chase
This reflects the inherent weakness of the Chase concept. Kyle Busch dominates the season, then has 2 bad breaks in the chase and is ‘eliminated’ after only 2 races, whereas Greg Biffle just makes the chase (with 0 wins during the season) but wins the first 2 chase races and is now a leading candidate to win. I’ve hated the concept of the chase…why not simply reorder all 43 drivers before the chase and make everyone eligible? The Chase is a sham!
kyle used his stuff up. you have to be there all year . some body get kyle a hanky
I think the whole chase thing stinks..you should just keep going in points and whoever wins, wins, just like the Nationwide..Bringing everyone to the same points plus 10 for every win is just dumb..
Can I get A BIG HELL YEAH!!
LOL, dont they take points away for that word!
Ask JR. They DO!!
Anyways, I have to agree that the Chase is a lame duck and NASCARS losing all they way around with it as well as Drivers and Sponsers!
Remeber the Titanic, The Powers that were let the whole Ship go down and all suffer all those lost lives because of there thought process. That the Ship could never sink!
BEWARE,THE CHASE IS ON THAT SAME PATH!!!
I have to agree, the chase sucks. Just finish out the season with regular races and let the points at the end stand for who won the race season.
i have noticed a disturbing trend lately. either the drivers, crews, fans dont know what is proper during the performance of the national anthem or just dont care. i think nascar fans crews etc are as patriotic as anyone else, so maybe they just need a reminder to not only remove hat, but put right hand over heart and stand still. thanks
