Exciting Richmond Race Locks in 2008 Chase Contenders

Sunday September 7, 2008
Richmond International Raceway put on another great show today. Jimmie Johnson picked up his second win in a row and is now one of the top favorites to claim the 2008 Sprint Cup title. It wasn't easy as Johnson and Tony Stewart were side-by-side for the win with less than ten laps to go. This was an exciting race proving once again why NASCAR needs more short tracks.

In the Race to the Chase Clint Bowyer was able to hold off David Ragan and Kasey Kahne for the final Chase qualifying spot.

Next week the 2008 Chase for the Cup begins. Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards and Jimmie Johnson have established themselves as the early favorites. Who do you think will claim the 2008 Sprint Cup Championship?

Jeff gordon will win the chase. His team has not been showing what they have for the chase. Gordon will win three races in the chase and edge out Johnson by 60+ points. Kyle bush will end up third 18 points behind Johson.

Let’s talk about that wonderful moment when Jr turned Bush around and drove on by!!!! That made so many fans happy. Carl Edwards last week and Junior this week finally made the fans happy and gave it back to Kyle Bush a.k.a. “Shrubbie”. He drives the same way in any series he is in wreck whoever is in his way and the heck with the consequences. It will catch up with him eventually. Grow up Shrubbie and take pride in your skills as a driver instead of relying on wrecking cars to get the job done quicker.

To steve in alturas, I’m as far away from being a Kyle Busch fan as you can get, but he has demonstrated more than a few times this year that he can, in fact, “run with the big dogs” and beat them. His equipment and pit crews all must be on fast forward. They do get it done.
