Richmond Postponed until Sunday
Friday September 5, 2008
NASCAR announced on Friday night that both the Nationwide Series race scheduled for Friday night and the Sprint Cup series race scheduled for Saturday night would be postponed until Sunday afternoon. The Cup series race is scheduled for 1pm with the Nationwide series race scheduled for Sunday evening at 7pm.
I can't remember NASCAR washing out both races at the same time before. Normally NASCAR at least makes an effort to get the show off on time. The forecast for Saturday does look bleak. What do you think? Is the early rainout good for fans or should NASCAR have at least tried to get the race in on schedule?

A wait and see is what i think and no im not kin to tony i wish i was
To me at least we found out now and do don’t have to just sit and see. I cleaned out my recorded for the races and now have get them for Sunday. That is ok with me. Rain comes and we can do nothing about it.
I am ticked!!! Looks like the race won’t be on ABC as orginally scheduled, due to it being postponed until Sunday. Any other sport would still be covered. Not everyone has Cable or a Dish system. There are still many avid race fans who have antenna reception. I don’t like the pressure to be forced to subscribe to something that has been on the regular air in the past.
I think it was agreat call. With the weather predicitions we were getting they made a great call. I have sat in the stands during heavy rain waiting for the call and it can get miserable. After about 3 hours of waiting around I lose a little enthusiasm.
