Race to the Chase Visits Michigan

Thursday August 14, 2008
2008 3M Performance 400 presented by Bondo at Michigan International SpeedwayThere are only four races remaining until the top twelve drivers are locked into the 2008 Chase for the Cup. This weekend the Sprint Cup stars will take on the 2008 3M Performance 400 presented by Bondo at Michigan International Speedway.

Matt Kenseth is clinging to twelfth in points by just 22 points over Clint Bowyer. We are getting closer to the cutoff at Richmond in September. Will Kenseth hang on to qualify for his fifth consecutive Chase or will Clint Bowyer get to back up his 3rd place points finish in 2007 with another Chase run in 2008? The pressure is building.

i’m only here because a google showed up your article in 04 about how much better nascar is that f1. seems pretty stupid now… all you have to see is how teams are forced to hire specialized drivers if its necessary to do anything but turn left or it rains even a little. the debacle in canada is a good example, infineon, watkins… all show that while any decent road course driver can dominate in nascar (which is why gordon and stewart win so much- road racing skills).. while nascar drivers can’t (generally) handle the shifting, turning, gforces of road racing. i suggest you buy a sim (race07 being a pretty good one) and learn about what your talking about.
