P.J. In For J.J. at Watkins Glen
Tuesday August 5, 2008
Add one more road racing ringer to the mix for this weekend's Centurion Boats at The Glen. Hall of Fame racing announced that J.J. Yeley would step aside this weekend and allow P.J. Jones to take over the #96 DLP HDTV Toyota.
The #96 is currently 38th in car owner points. The top 35 are guaranteed a starting spot each week while the rest of the entrants have to battle for one of the remaining spots. P.J.'s best career NASCAR finish was a 4th place effort in Watkins Glen back in 2002. If he can duplicate that effort this weekend this would be a big boost to Hall of Fame Racing's efforts to climb back into the top 35.
