Kasey Kahne Claims Coca-Cola 600
Sunday May 25, 2008
The Coca-Cola 600 at Lowes Motor Speedway starts in the day and ends at night. This year as the track changed from daylight to dark different teams hit upon the right setup and were able to run up front. Changing conditions, pit strategy and tire wear would all prove to be factors in this race before the checkered flag would fall.
Kyle Busch, Kurt Busch, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Tony Stewart each looked like they had the winning hand at different points during the race. However it was Kasey Kahne who survived the full 600 miles and took the win in the 2008 Coca-Cola 600.

Really feel bad for my man Tony, two heart breaks thjs season. Maybe the third time will be charm!
Happy for Kane though!
Go Tony Go
Feel bad about Smoke, but that’s racing I guess. Interesting that if race was a 500 miler Jimmie would have won. More interesting was Jeff for how many miles out of contention and ending up 5th due to good pit work. Then my man Junior getting wrecked and ending 4th. Also because of pit work and a good team mate.I even enjoyed DW’s Wild Thing Kyle last night. It was nice for Kasey, but it should have been Smoke or Junior’s race.
Heart break,Dover bad luck will be over……smile for a while
Sorry Lloyd but I think you got it backwards. Jeff finished 4th and Jr. finished 5th Anyway it was a good finish for both of them.
I stand corrected, or in this case technically sitting corrected.
On to Dover
