Kasey Kahne Wins Fan Vote and 2008 Sprint All-Star Race
Saturday May 17, 2008
Kasey Kahne won the Fan Favorite vote to claim the final starting spot in the 2008 NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race. Pit strategy played a big role in the race tonight. Kahne didn't change tires before the final segment to gain track position and take the win.
This is the second year in-a-row that the All-Star event lacked any real fireworks. Kyle Busch, Carl Edwards and Greg Biffle each dominated a segment of the race. Kasey Kahne was out front when it mattered and he claimed the million dollar payday.
