Talladega Plate Racing On Tap

Wednesday April 23, 2008
2008 Aarons 499 at Talladega SuperspeedwayChevrolet drivers have dominated Talladega Superspeedway since 1999. The "Bowtie Brigade" have won an incredible sixteen of the last seventeen Talladega races. The only non-Chevy winner in this millennium was Dale Jarrett's October 2005 Talladega score.

What will this Sunday's 2008 Aaron's 499 bring? Talladega races are always a crap shoot. Fans should expect 499 miles of door-to-door battles, at least one multi-car wreck known as "The Big One," and a margin of victory well under a quarter of a second. Whether you love restrictor plate racing or hate it Talladega races usually leave fans with something to talk about.

Hendrick Motorsports drivers have swept the last four races. Will Jimmie Johnson win his second in a row or can Dale Earnhardt Jr. return to Victory Lane at a race track he used to dominate?

I don’t think we will see a race this week like we are used to seeing at Dega. But I think we will see a different winner this week.I think it will be a first this season for someone.

Hello Jacques Jordaan…come on over we’d love to have you! If they did it so can you…don’t ever give up on your dream!

I don’t know who will win at Talladega but I do know one thing…I will sure miss DJ. This’ll be the first Dega race I’ve ever seen without Dale Jarrett in it. Remember Dega was where he won his very last race on 10/2/05. I sure miss that guy but I’m looking to Toyota to have another win this weekend…maybe Mikey Waltrip will pull a win out here. Stranger things have happened!

I can’t wait!

To Anita:
Where do you get your information about Stewart leaving Gibbs? I would change that source. It is UNCONFIRMED and the SAME RUMOR circulated when Gibbs anounced going to Toyota. And considering Gibbs has brought the wins to Toyota, I think Tony knows which side his bread is buttered on.

To Anita:
Scratch that…I’m sorry…LOL I just read. Apparently Tony DOESN’t know what side his bread is buttered on.
