New Car Rolls Into Texas

Thursday April 3, 2008
2008 Samsung 500 at Texas Motor SpeedwayTexas Motor Speedway was not one of the tracks that the Car of Tomorrow visited in 2007. This weekend NASCAR's fastest race track will get its first visit from NASCAR's new car.

Last year Jeff Burton became the first driver in the speedway's history to score a second victory at the tricky speedway. In 2008 he returns to Texas as the current points leader. Texas is a fast track that can bite you in an instant. This weekend who will pilot the new car style to its first Sprint Cup win at Texas Motor Speedway?

I expect junebug to be very strong. He’s off to a good start by winning the pole. Hopefully he can close the deal at the end this week and get to victory lane.

bump stops and coil binding. I was under the impretion that nascar was after safty when you have toload the car this way it causes agreat deal of strain for front end parts as well as causing front end bounce and side up track. this is unsafe. Ihave built car and truck all my life and this is abig disapointment to me when nascar is so safey mined;
