Dale Jr. and Kasey Kahne Top Daytona Testing

Wednesday January 16, 2008
The Sprint Cup Preseason Thunder at Daytona is now complete. This week the remaining teams got their chance to prepare for the 2008 Daytona 500 in February. Looking at the results from both test sessions shows that Dale Earnhardt Jr. posted the fastest single-car run while Kasey Kahne topped the charts in the draft.

It is important to note that comparing test speeds is a fun, but fruitless, task. Historically Preseason Thunder has not been a good predictor of Daytona 500 performance.

You can see the combined test results from both Sprint Cup sessions at NASCAR.com.

I am glad to see Jr. doing good in the start. It is sad some of his fans have left him because he moved.I always thought you like the driver and followed him where ever he goes? Kasey should have a good year too.

Nice to hear something so positive for Kasey. It’s not a measure of how 08 will go for him, but refreshing all the same. All the best to Kahne and Junior.
I can hardly wait for Daytona to get here.

Jr. test say’s good thing may come if he can complete races this yr.
As far as his fans following him to the firey pits of hendricks. NO they wont come if jr. falls on his face.
Would you round up all your loved ones and drag em to a K_K meeting? You might only if you knew and trusted your Local hero had taking over!
Jr is going to have to win and prove he
will still be jr and not a knock off.
I’m hoping he can and does..
SITIING ON THE FENCE!!!
