Michael Waltrip Rolls Car, Faces Charges

Tuesday April 10, 2007
Yahoo Sports is reporting that Waltrip has been charged by police after rolling his car in an accident near his home. Waltrip apparently left the scene and the police were not able to locate him until the next day.

Michael Waltrip is already having the worst year of his professional life. He remains dead last in NEXTEL Cup points behind you and me. We have zero points while Michael has -27. In addition Michael has failed to qualify for the last five races. He certainly does not need any additional bad news to distract him from the task of qualifying.

Think Mike making some wrong choices lately. Hate to say but I give the most, 2 months for Napa to pull out. Mean? Nope just business, they don’t want to spend millions for a team that can’t make the race.

After leaving the scene of and accident in normal Mikey fashion he said” I’m embarrassed” How much bad press is one sponsor going to take.Michael used to be rich and famous but he left that for greener pastures now he’s just famous, for all the wrong reasons.

Well i like michael and his cool way of looking at things ! Dont count him out . The man has a lot on his plate and the toyota thing is a risk but when it comes around, we will all say great risk that paid off !!! Good luck Mike

Can you spell DUI? What do you do when you are on the road at 2am in the morning? Then you can’t be located til the next day? Hello? Seems like not making the race has taken it’s toll on Mikey, I hope I’m wrong, but it smells pretty fishy to me

I agree with Leo Z. Mikey has what it takes to pull out of this.

(9) john says:

Spell DUI??? Any thing can smell pretty fishy to anyone if they let their minds wonder. Already we have people coming on here they think they know what happen. When I see these kinds of people, I automatic think they know by experience, look if you want a place burglar proof, whom do you hire? An Ex-burglar. He may or may not been DUI, I don’t remember on reading it anywhere. The statement well he was out at 2 AM. Making him DUI. Therefore, I guess the notion he might have been at the garage, at a meeting, coming from out of town, or any other reasons have not crossed your mind uh?

My God give Michael Waltrip a break!
Why are so many people ready and willing to kick a man already down on his luck? I for one will pray that Mikey comes out of this slump and gets back to the too the Mikey we all know and love.

Why not support Toyota, they employ almost as many if not more people in the U.S. than the big 4 do. Michael is a class act I have had the opportunity to meet him and he is very nice and personable. Thank god he was not killed!

(16) Whoopie do says:

Why not support Toyota? It’s not an American Co. So what they employ Americans. It’s a Japan Co. Nascar (North American Stock Car Association). Just because it’s made here, it’s a American car. Who owns the co.

(22) Slickdaddy says:

Uh oh! It seems that this could’nt have happened at one of the worse times for him. Believe me, he is NOT the only one doing this kind of thing once in a while, he just got caught this time. As for the new Waltrip, Toyota, Napa team goes, ALL of these BIG sponsors know the risks, rewards and the financial commitment to such a HUGE venture. Especially starting from scratch. However, I do believe that if things don’t start progressing for the team as whole very soon, I seriously doubt that there will be a team in 08′

April 11, 2007 at 11:59 am
(24) john says:

Now who makes Chevy, fords? Yes, some of them are made elsewhere. Korea, Mexico, Brazil, Australia (Pontiac GTO). However, those companies owns the companies that make them, so the profits still bounce back to the usa. True sometimes they have a partnership with others. Like for example when Toyota and gm made cars together The Chevy Nova, and the Toyota? it slips my mind. I found it funny that Chevy nova did not sell well because it was a Chevy, however it was a Toyota. I really do not understand why people think “oh” Toyota, Honda, Hyundai; etc makes cars here so they are American. Once again where do the profits go?

April 11, 2007 at 12:10 pm
(25) john says:

dan, try to think alittle, toyota has not supported the cars the same way it supported the trucks. What toyota car team doing any good? Everybody jumps on the bandwagon on mikey, I guess it make them feel cool, however there are more than one toyota teams out there. none of them doing crap, even it is the first year. They (toyota) do have a little experiance with the trucks. I do feel that NAPA won’t stay long. It’s just business.

(27) NEIGHBOR says:

To address John’s question of dui(?) A witness actually saw Michael running from the scene of the accident. He lives a very short distance from the accident scene and was running that direction. When they tried his house he was not home, but he owns other property around that area and his parents home is also close to his own. You dont disappear after an accident unless you have something to hide!!! or you can keep thinking O.J. didnt do it!!!

April 11, 2007 at 1:33 pm
(28) Jason says:

Not everyone that runs has something to hide, maybe he ran because he didn’t want to hear it from all of the people that think they are better than him. Everyone makes mistakes, & if my biggest sponsor was on the line if a mistake was made, I might run too. I feel for the man, but still believe in him just the same. This may not be Mikey’s year in racing, but he’s still the same guy that entertains us on TV with his personality & humor, & I hope he gets on track soon, literally.

April 11, 2007 at 2:07 pm
(29) Joe says:

I agree with Wayne C. Smells “fishy” to me. If he just had an accident why leave the scene??? He must have had a cell phone..I have heard it go off while he was on the air. Then he didn’t surface for 24 hrs?? Smells rotten..

April 11, 2007 at 2:39 pm
(30) Cheryl Huerta says:

Nothing like jumping to conclusions on the way to kickin’ a man while he is down. Apparently some have forgotten that the ‘American Spirit’ is all about hitting bottom and then climbing back up on top. How easy it is to judge a person when one is not walking in their shoes! Mikey has my support 1,000,000% for all time and he’s not even ‘my driver’. Nobody believed in him until Big E did and look what that little bit of belief did for Michael. Now that Dale is gone I guess some people have just forgotten to see in Michael what he saw in him. However we humans tend to be mightly judgmental of others so it doesn’t surprise me to see so many jumping to conclusions, making up their own stories and putting Mikey down because he’s been having a rough time. I’d like to see anyone out there judging him do a better job with what he has to deal with!

April 11, 2007 at 3:09 pm
(31) john says:

NEIGHBOR, So what, if someone seen him running. Then again, how do you know if that person did see him running? Where you there or are you the person seen him run? What does that prove? Nothing except people just as you for an example jumping to conclusions, before the facts are out. Look what happen to those three college kids from NC got accused of a crime, people not knowing the facts found them guilty, now look at them as of today! OJ you brought up, it really does not matter what people thinks, due to the fact the city of LA, and attorneys made it a Show of look at me, I am on TV, they blew it. OJ is free nothing what we say or do can change that. In addition, I think when people bring OJ up in comments such as this it really shows their lack of knowledge.

(32) Rick S. says:

Michael Waltrip tried to cheat in Daytona. When caught he lied to his fans and family.
He tarnished Toyota’s name in the first NASCAR race they ever attempted to start. As far as I am concerned he deserves what ever he gets….

(33) shorty says:

i want everyone here to raise their hand if you’ve never had one beer and driven. those of you who raised his/her hand can cast the first stone. i don’t know if alcohol was involved. even if it was, who cares? let the man be. he’s got enough to worry about without having vultures like you people and the media making him out to be some kind of felon. napa, ups, dominos knew what they were getting into when they inked the deal. do you not believe they knew there were going to be stumbling blocks. all the toyotas are struggling. the only one that can blame his struggles on bad luck is blaney. dei should be on your blacklist,if anyone. their team has turned everyone who works for them into a joke.if jr didnt have last years points to fall back on,even he would have missed a couple of races.truex…hahaha!menard…he’s a rookie,or close to it. they might as well hire hut stricklin or lake speed to drive; the cars are junk.mikey will get his teams on the right track.!!

April 11, 2007 at 3:39 pm
(34) john says:

I agree with shorty.– well about less than half of it anyway. Dei a joke, maybe, jr would not made it in some of the races this year? I don’t know what tv broadcast you been watching, what I saw he made the races far above the cut off list. Who cares? IF he was drunk or drank too many beers? No one knows what happen. However, I don’t care if he having problems or not that don’t give him the right to drink and drive!!!! So IF he did drink and drive, he deserves all the problems he’s going to get. If he wasn’t drunk, then another story.

April 11, 2007 at 4:35 pm
(35) James says:

Well, Seems a lot of you who got on the Toyota/ overseas kick need to walk around your home and take a good look around. At least 80% or More of everything in your home that YOU bought is from another country. Go ahead Look at your eletronics, appliances, toys, clothes and even your american vehicles all are either made in some foreign country or contain major pieces and parts made overseas so, although I’m not real fond of it myself, the fact is that the overseas market runs over 50% of our great country. Michael and Toyota in a NASCAR race is not what is going to be the downfall of America. If your really concerned about What Toyota represents, What about the Billions of bucks we Americans are wasting on Nintendo, playstation 1, 2 and 3 with all the bells and whistles, games, etc. And if that’s not enough how about all the multi-billions of cash we are giving to the Middle East for Fuel……Are you gonna give up your video games and protest driving in your Stance For America. Look at the big picture Before you critque what makes the world go around.

(37) Joe says:

I am not saying Mike was DUI. I am saying it was “stupid” to leave the scene. If he had nothing to hide…he should have notified the police…if they wanted him to take a DUI test and if he was “clean”…that would/could put all assumptions to rest. He then could say…stress, long hours, etc, etc, and I just fell asleep at the wheel. Again…it’s like O.J. saying I didn’t do it..that is why I ran. I like Mike…I worked for NAPA for 15 years, I also owned a NAPA store..I have always been “pulling” for Mike…He is just in over his head and continues to make bad decisions…get your “head out” Mike

April 11, 2007 at 6:37 pm
(38) Bruce says:

If He had nothing to Hide but an Accident, why not call the police…Someone will come forward to tell what he was up to prior to the accident.I don’t think he or any other celebrity should get off easy..do the crime..do the time…

April 11, 2007 at 6:56 pm
(39) Amazing says:

Simply amazing. Some of you already got him dui, hiding something, etc. So much innocent before convicted. The only reason you have heard this only because he is a celebrity. Yes if he did wrong, he should pay, not because he is a celebrity. Then again with most of you on here “THAT NEVER DO ANYTHING WRONG EVER.” No matter what it is, from running red lights, speed, park wrong, being stupid on your thinking, no one have a chance with you, He’s guilty already.

Jumping to conclusions, yeh. Michael should be an experienced enough driver to keep a car on the road legally. He was either driving to fast or driving impaired either from lack of sleep or driving drunk. All are illegal. And running from the scene of an accident -also illegal. Illegal and dumb!

While I like to think a man is innocent until proven guilty, it just looks bad. Yes, he is having a difficult time, but does that mean he shouldn’t stand up and be a man and take responsibility for his actions? Even if it was just fatigue, shouldn’t he stay and notify the local authorities? By not doing that he has opened himself up to speculation.

Yes, Mikey should not have left the scene but I am sure he is pretty close to rock bottom these days and not thinking 100%. As far as the COPS, they can only charge for what they know or see. It does make you wonder but I am sure it was stress from not making another race. Maybe he needs to take the limo for a while. I have been a Mickey fan for many years but have to say this is another let down.

April 11, 2007 at 8:40 pm
(46) john says:

Yea, he and the rest of the drivers should have experienced enough to avoid accidents on or off the track, but they have them. Then again, how many of you think they can handle the car that you have, and have a wreck? “Napa” with Robby Gordon, that’s a laugh,– Napa really would be scrapping the bottom of the barrel. Ever wonder why Robby does not have a sponsor? Surly you are bright enough to figure that out.

April 11, 2007 at 8:58 pm
(47) Steve says:

I hope Mike is ok. As for all the commints about what happened…who even knows if Mike was driving? Someone saw someone running away from the wreak. Who know who it was.

Who cares if Toyota is in Nascar or not? I am a Dale E. fan and I believe if he were still alive he would say: Bring um on, we’ll kick there A** too. Racing is racing and the only reason to leave Toyota or any other manufacture out of the series is because you are afraid to get beat!! Foreign manufactures competed in Nascar back in the day.

Hmm the officer didn’t make contact with him til 16 hours after the accident, if he was he sure was smart about it. Mike made the call.

Let he who has not sinneth cast the first stone. You try and run three three different NASCAR teams and see how far you get. Whatever comes out of this I just hope we all remember the values that he has given to all fans, of family and respect.

(53) john says:

Leo Z Have you not been listen That Camry made in the usa however it is a Japan Co. and the profits go to Japan, which means it’s a Japan Co.. Where as the ford, Chevy street cars made in Mexico, and Canada however ford and gm are American co’s and the profits come to the USA. Leo Z Just because it’s made here does not mean its American. Where as dodge car made in the usa (I believe) but it is a Germany co. Leo Z you heard that info like I did that from Darrell Waltrip on TV to try to justify Toyota’s, then again DW have how many Toyotas dealerships? Leo Z, if you want to be technical, Mexico, USA, and Canada are in North America. NASCAR, North America Stock Car Assoc Last I looked Japan was not part of the North America continent. Am I being a smart A** ? maybe, then again when I read that people accusing everyone not listen/reading something, then in turn they are guilty if not more doing the very same while accusing.

Mike has been the poster child for bad luck.Even when he win there are dark clouds around him.I think this type of luck has followed him into this season.
Personally I think that going TOYOTA has said that he doesn’t care about the American automobile companys. This sport was founded on the American automobiles and for him and his brother to turn there backs on that is treason to the founding fathers of the great sport of NASCAR. So good for Mike! Some day we will all be losers like hime driving Jap cars and he will be the more of the problem to that type of thinking rather than the solution to poor sales of our great American automobiles.

(58) Slickdaddy says:

So the name says “TOYOTA” Come on, the only thing on that car that is really toyota is the slight similarity to a camry body style! I’ll bet you would be hard pressed to find even a dozon small parts with the name Toyota on them. These are NASCAR’s. Do you think the Ford FUSION really runs a 4 or 6 cylender FORD Engine? Please! Any foreighn brand has the right to run a foreighn “Flagship” vehicle from their product line BUT, All it really is, is a body that is supposed to emulate that specific car, but under the hood and everywhere else is ALL built from scratch just like Chevrolet, Dodge etc. with both foreighn and American technology! Think about it.

(59) gaspeddler says:

Why does everyone always blame Toyota! Perhaps the blame should fall on his less than stellar organization. We Americans can’t ever admit to our shortcomings. If Toyota is so inferior than how are they continually outselling GM and Ford?

(60) what? says:

Slickdaddy- 4 & 6 cylinder engines? Name plate only? It may be helpful if you would read a little before you speak. Of course not they run 4 & 6 cyl. They run Ford V8’s, Chevy V’8’s Dodge V8’s and even Toyota runs a Toyota V8’s. The one they had to developed for the truck races. Now maybe you are the one who should think about it.

(68) john says:

Ken, lost in the translation? “American owned car companies” versa “Japan owned companies”. Already lots of jobs have been shipped overseas due to several factors. Including more profit. People whether buy something else, so sells drop, because of sells drop then it is harder to pay the wages, benefits, and then lay offs, and then they ship jobs overseas to make a profit. True, there are more to it as this example. Then you have the people that have Japanese cars, German cars, and Korean cars, complain they are sending jobs overseas. Yes the old argument people will say LOOK around your home where is everything is made at? What they always forget WHY they bought it in the first place (in most cases) the price. Business cannot sell their product that made in the USA, they will go somewhere else and have it made so they can compete. Are things made better overseas? Nope. Not even the highly over rated Sony. Just the name people are buying. Therefore, along with other factors, the consumer needs to share in the blame. Anyway the topic is after I got off subject, and you do not understand is NASCAR versa Japan owned co.

What difference does it make? Ya’ll working for 60 Minutes or CNN? I drive a Chevy. About half the rednecks I know drive Toyota 4 wheel drives(they just last longer). I don’t particularly like Toyota running in Nascar but maybe this will help the American automakers build what they should. When is the last time you heard someone telling a person what they thought were good used cars? Did they say Chevy,Dodge,Ford or Honda, Toyota, and Nissan? These people wouldn’t be taking over the car world unless a whole lot more people trusted and enjoyed their products. It’s not what you race it’s how you race it! One more thing before I go. I don’t know if it is still so but back in 2004-2005 I could rent a U-haul trailer behind a Volkswagon Beetle but not behind one of the most popular American SUV’s because of their instability. Now that is something to be proud of.

Hey John ..I like a man with backbone but i have to let you know Im a mechanic and i buy parts all the time and last i check none of them came from the good old U.S.A. not even the originals ie:the big 4 .I dont buy imports myself, but if we can feed are familys because we build there cars then whats the big deal ? I respect how you feel but is anything really american anymore.

April 12, 2007 at 11:13 pm
(82) john says:

LeoZ, Now why isn’t american anymore? Now why is that? Maybe the Americans want to buy cheaper price products. So they buy everybody else things. toasters, tv’s cars. (cars are not that cheap anymore) So the Big 3 in order to survive had to lay off, and ship jobs overseas like the rest of the business. So americans caused this problem, now they complain about the jobs. Some people are complaining about jobs being shipped out while they are buying their new honda. maybe that is the big deal. (yes I know there are other factors.) Yes a person have to do to feed their family. That I respect that too. The originals parts made elseware true. I remember when the first gm crate replacement engines came from mexico. You know the ones, when the gm garage had to tear in them to put in rod bearings, that they left out, that was in the 70’s.

I’m not crazy about him as a driver, with DEI or now, but he is a great speaker. Mike if you don’t make it in racing, do as your bother has done go into announcing like him, you would do great there.

John point well taken ! Now back to mikey .I kown when i was young i wanted to be a race car driver not just for the thrill but also for the life style .You know wine, woman, and song and a nice set up at home but we dont want are drivers acting up anymore ,heck you cant even get mad anymore on tv,so what some guy almost killed you on the track .Lets face it the high life comes with a price sometimes !

April 13, 2007 at 10:44 am
(88) john says:

Leo Z. I think you are right. People expect the drivers or anybody else in the public eye to be perfect. The people on these boards complain when drivers get out of a wreck car, and the driver’s are upset. What do these people expect from the drivers? Get out and be cheerful? These people get upset if their windshield wipers streak a little. Driving these cars is their lively hood (over paid I think, then again if I was offered that kind of money I would not turn it down) but their jobs. If these drivers do not finish a race, that means less $$$ for the family, not counting the pit crew families, team. The very same people that is complaining about the drivers, because the drivers whine, gripe, etc. are doing the very same if not worse. At least the drivers have a good reason to grip/whine. Then again if these very same people that is complaining about the whining that goes on, if they would watch the races back in the 90’s, 80’s 70’s etc they would see all kinds of whining. Then again, political correctness and people with short memories are here now I think that is their lively hood to whine about others.

billyboy cracks me up… says “why even watch nascar anymore. it isn’t like the old boys wanted it..” funny thing, they may not have wanted it, but they’re all drivin’em!! i like them all (experienced drivers), but they have traded american for foreign to try to rebuild their careers… sorry guys, it wasn’t the cars keeping you from the checkered flag, it was the drivers… seems to me casey kahne and kurt busch are doin fine in cars that the previous drivers couldn’t…

April 13, 2007 at 1:20 pm
(90) john says:

stromulus, don’t know where you got your stats about Kasey kahne driving these cars I’m assumed you are talking about cot, his best finish was 19, remember he’s one of the hot shot drivers last couple of years. Kasey use to drive Sprints in Washington State. That is where money does buy speed, he had the best of everything. He can hardly get out of his own way when he drives now up there. Back to the topic. In addition, for the year he is rank #34, so much for your theory. Kyle B? He is better in the ranks, too bad though Him, and his brother the only ones I really do not like along with bickle. Your comment about the drivers doesn’t want them but they are driving them? Well I guess they do not have much of a choice do they, considering NASCAR dictates what they drive right.

cory, truth that you want to believe or is it the real truth by definition? Right now, you look pretty foolish on here. You are right in one thing God only knows, As I said before for you in assuming with your made up facts makes you to look foolish.

April 13, 2007 at 4:34 pm
(100) john says:

cory once again, use spell check, learn how to type or what ever so it makes it a little easier to read. (no ever one said it had to be perfect). Again every one knows? what he had done was not the first time it happen to anyone. Unless there was a death and he was only one that was involved he would not be put in jail or you. He goofed up and left the scene, then again you come on here look foolish in assume that everyone knows. How do you know anyway have you done it? any way you had you 15 minutes of fame, see ya.

April 13, 2007 at 4:41 pm

(104) Anita says:

I have been away for a couple of days so this is the first time that I have gotten to read these comments. I cant believe what I am seeing. First of all I see that people are saying that Mikey “RAN” from the scene. If you read the article of the witnesses statement, she says that the WALKED TOWARD HOME IN HIS SOCKS. THat is way different than running….Second You know that a man could have lost his life that night. His wife could have been widowed his children left fatherless. I sure that they are real worried about the stupid people out there that speculate and make rude and untrue comments about something they know nothing about. Oh yes and I did say STUPID.. Yell at me if you want to. But I cant stand people who have no compassion. Just because he is famous dont mean he cant make mistakes and is not human and have feelings. I just am glad that he is safe. I hope that he can pull through this because I still feel that he is a good and decnet man.

(105) kevin says:

Give me a FREAKIN break. if you people think alcohol wasnt involved your just IGNORANT. why else was in the shower in the pool house and not the main house? and why did he not go to the police the next day instead of meking them come back to him? the ONLY reason he is even in NASCAR is because of ole DW and LIL E. the guy cant drive period! the sooner toyota wakes up the the better off nascar will be. sober people dont walk a mile in stocking feet.

April 13, 2007 at 5:50 pm
(106) cory says:

thanks kevin thats the true fact

April 13, 2007 at 6:07 pm
(107) john says:

cory you don’t know the the true facts if it slap you across your face. I ‘m sure glad you people, kevin, cory you know so much that you know for a fact what he did. Can’t drive? he’s not the best however, he sure drive better than you assume of what others have done. Then again he is in nascar and I don’t think you are. So what he showered at the pool house? Still can you produce facts? Hey cory REAL facts, and not the made up ones in your brain prove otherwise? We know he did a foolish thing then again look at you you’re talking out of your A**. By your talk we know you have done stupid things also. The one assumes the most are the ones done the most themselves.

April 13, 2007 at 7:07 pm
(108) 69mustang says:

Michael made a huge mistake by leaving the scene. He brought all of the FUD about his wreck on himself. If he would have stayed at the scene there would not be any questions. He left so now we will never know and it makes it easier for all involved (and the MWR nation)to deny. You don’t leave the scene of an accident unless you need to. Did he check to see if anyone else may have been hurt, or check for other property damage? No he ran like hell. Just like he ran from knowing anything about cheating at Daytona.

April 13, 2007 at 7:37 pm
(109) Steve says:

#49 Whoopie Do??? I didn’t say Dale said anything!!! Read the message! I said; I believe Dale would say let them race. He was a racer and didn’t care who, what or where he was racing..he just wanted to race. Everyone wants to complaine about everything now days. I say stop complaining and race. I can tell you one thing. If they paid me as must as the lowest paid driver I would drive a dump truck and not complain as long as it was competitive.

April 13, 2007 at 8:03 pm
(110) Opinion-Nator says:

It doesn’t matter if you like Mikey or not, the ture fact of the matter is that he left the scene. Many will argue that he didn’t realize what he was doing when he walked home, maybe that is true but maybe not. No matter how much sunshine people try to shine on this situation it still reeks the stench of raw sewer. I could maybe buy the theory that he was ‘knocked silly’ during the accident but after hearing his weak explainations I think he threw the ‘knocked silly’ theory right out the window.

April 13, 2007 at 9:33 pm
(111) This is what I think says:

Most of you are acting like you think he would have been better off to just die in crash. Boy our humanity as a people sure has gone to H***. Yes he shouldnt have left but talk about kicking a guy when he is down. Didnt your mother teach you people if you cant say something nice dont say nothing at all.

April 13, 2007 at 10:43 pm
(112) john says:

Funny, Now he ran like hell from the wreck, What I read from the 18 year old eye witness. She said he finally crawled out from the vehicle stood buy the driver’s rear window for a while and then WALKED home. Amazing what people will put in to a story. Nobody did not say he did not do anything wrong. Yes it is true, you don’t leave a scene of an accident (lot of people do though, happens everyday) if you have any since in you, then again No ONE makes idiotic assumptions on things they don’t know what they are talking about, either, but many do on here, assuming things.

April 14, 2007 at 6:54 am
(113) Anita says:

It seems kinda funny how a person can “run like hell” in nothing but their socks. He must have the worlds thickest caules on his feet. Leave the man alone.

April 14, 2007 at 10:34 am
(114) Opinion-Nator says:

I don’t know how the accident happened, but there is clearly a problem with the facts of this matter. People seem to be ‘kicking’ Mikey because they feel they are being deceived. And why do people feel deceived? Because the facts don’t seem to be adding up.

Steve I did read your comment, now read mine #49 I said how it is FUNNY when people say they THINK what DALE may have to say. People always saying well only if Dale was here he would do this or that. My point is no one have any idea what he would have said, just as no one have any idea about Mike and the mess he got himself in, all of it is just speculating. But you are right Steve the money these drivers get I would drive a dump truck too.

(118) Pistol Pete says:

Well it is not like he has not wrecked a car before. Maybe he ran home because he was scared. Why? Well lets see. Media loves this stuff. Had to go to the bathroom? He has money right? no sense in worrying about the car until tomorrow. Did he ruin any property that was not his? Did he hit someone? How was the weather? DUI? I would not jump to that conclusion. Even if he did have a little nip, if the police came it would have been a huge deal. I think he was better off just going home or wherever until the next day to get his vehicle towed. As long as there was nobody else involved in any way, no harm done. He seems to be a timid kind of guy. He was more than likely scared of what had happened. Good luck Mike. Oh by the way. Forget the Toyotas. Lets keep NASCAR an American Car showcase. don’t even get me started on those new drivers who cannot seem to master the english language. They should stick with the Formula Ones and such. Rock On!

OK so that means if you have ever had someone famous in racing that is the only reason they are there? How about the Petty’s, Wallace’s, adretti’s, allison’s,foyt’s, Bush brothers, Labonte’s, Even Dale Sr. and Richard Petty was involved because of their Dads. Looks like it has always been and will always be a family sport.

I like many others do think Mikey should be commended. IT takes big balls to try and start a new team with sponsers on line, unfortunatly he’s underestamated how much attention each side of the business needs at start up.
As for him leaving the scene of an accident. SHAME ON YOU!!!!!!!!!
HE’s only human but he needs to stand up and be a roll model that he thinks he is.

Ron, ron, ron. tist tist tist. Powerplants built by rcr, dei, the rest of the teams, some teams buy engines from other teams. The blocks are from ford, chevy, dodge, toy. The teams build them their way. chasis most teams build their own. yes goodyear tires? point? rims? once again point? do you expect they use street rims? Do you really think the old team go buy a car from the dealor, slap on a # on it, and race without modify the engines, tranny, chasis? If you think that I have a bridge for sale. Only point you do have is the old cars did look like they suppose too.
