Tony Stewart Live is a bust, all he seems to talk about is how he has more money than us to spend and the servant girlfriend that he stole from another man (her husband). There’s very little race talk.

Bought XM for many reasons, one being Nascar radio. Now, Nascar got big bucks waved in front of thier nose and took a dump on all those XM subscribers by moving to SIRIUS. Sorry Nascar, not following you to SIRIUS. Glad Claire B. Lang stayed with XM. She is true to her listeners.
I have XM in my truck, my wifes car, and my home. I am not going to reinvest in SIRIUS hardware when in a few years Nascar will just follow the $$ somewhere else.
Also agree with Ken and Doug, as long as Stern is on SIRIUS, I won’t even consider a move.

I agree. I too bought XM mainly to listen to the nascar races. I will not subscribe to SIRIUS as long as Howard Stern is on their schedule. I am really angry that XM let it get away that easily they really had a lot of loyal listeners.

listening to the howard stern comments just shows what i have been saying for a couple of years now. real men are all leaving nascar and look what we are getting. you guys are a joke. i know for a fact my sirius radio has a button that i can turn on or off the stations i want to listen to.

Jay the problem is that when you purchase the subscription to Sirrus, you are paying or adding to Howard Stern’s salary. His money is based on subscriptions and other things. I am not switching now and if the merger brings NASCAR back to me, so be it, if not, I have it on the local C&W FM station and it comes in very well. Truth me known, the way NASCAR has declined, I really don’t care if I miss a race or two or three during the season.

Why pay for radio when it’s there for free. Anyone who spends that much time listening to a radio what’s thatsay fot yheir life.

(13) Larry says:

I drive a souvenir trailer and haul it to most of the races. I bought XM because of the Nascar channel and also to have the ability to stay on a station and not lose it from city to city. Nascar is Money. You gave up all the XM subscribers to go with a smaller base of users with Sirius. No wonder your seats are empty at a lot of your events. You don’t care about your fans you only care about the Money. I don’t blame XM or Sirius. I blame the Money hungry Nascar Engine.

I bought XM several years ago and enjoyed the NASCAR coverage. I have missed two races this year because I was traveling. Don’t care about Howard but I won’t spend that kind of cash again. I have four SM recievers now. As for the merger. There is no way the merger will help us out. The two will operate as seperate business units and will not share programing. Hope I am wrong.

i agree with each and every one that said they would not go to sirius because of howard stern he is a nut case and any one that listens to him is a nut case.
as far as nascar they are a joke now it is not real raceing now all the cars are exactly the same car with a different name how about letting the car builders build the best car they can if the other guys can’t build as good or better car to bad. that is not to say that they don’t need rules.

(17) Kritman says:

I guess you would not buy cable tv because of one channel you do not like. There are 120 other channels of different programs. As far as nascar being a joke, If you did not apreciate the end of the Daytona 500, you are not a race fan. Their are multiple teams on a level playing field. You look at the old days and there was always 2 or 3 dominating drivers. Now on any week you have about twothirds of the field that have a honest chance of a win. Nascar is becoming more diverse and it is changing to a world market. I loved the good old days, but I also enjoy the new drivers coming into this sport. Nascar is no longer a good old boy sport and world class drivers from other venues recognize this.

Jay, I could not agree with you more.

Let me see if I have this straight #8, you bought sattelite radio for Oprah?! Please tell me your kiddin! A NASCAR/Oprah fan.

Also, all you Howard Bashers who would not have Sattelite radio because of Stern, need to go home and cancel your dish or cable service for the numerous like minded show that are broadcast by them daily.

(19) Bob from Rockville says:

I XM, because it had Nascar. When it’s time to renew, I’m dumping it just like it dumped us. And I’m not going to Sirius. Nascar is getting to big, Money is all that matters.

I agree with EJ, I have listened to Tony’s radio show ever since it started and there has not been a single week that him or Matt did not mention his log cabin mansion that he is having built. We all know that they(most of all drivers) have more money than most of us will see in a life time, but we do not want to be reminded of it every week. As far as his so called girlfriend, who goes around calling his girlfriend “Lovey” maybe he can not remember her name. I wondered when it became public that he had a girlfriend that the reason they did not make it public right from the beginning is because they had to wait until her divorce was final. What does that tell you? I am a die hard Tony Stewart fan, I think that he is an awesome driver, but I have lost a lot of respect for him as a person by listening to his radio show. In all realality, I wished I had never started listeneing to his show. He is one conceded person.

I had xm radio and had bought it one year for Christmas since someone told me that you could hear the in car audio. That very next year when the races started, xm did not carry the in car audio, so I actually bought xm for nothing. Then I heard that this year Nascar was going to sirius radio and that sirius was going to cover 10 of the drivers each week with in car audio. It is okay, but sirius needs to stay on channel 128 to broadcast the race and not be broadcasting on the 10 channels that was set aside for the drivers. Most of us that listen to the in car audio are at home listening and watching the race on tv, we do not need mrn broadcasting the race to us again when most of the time, they are behind on where the race is anyway. For the ones of us who are listening to the in car audio, we want to hear what the driver and crew chief are saying, not just getting part of it due to mrn not breaking or stop talking when the driver and crew chief or driver and spotter are talking. Most of the time all you hear are clicks because by the time mrn does break they are already through talking and you missed most of it. So, mrn/sirius needs to stay on channel 128 during a race and do their broadcasting from there and not on the drivers channel.

(23) DEIdude says:

WHA! WHA! WHA! everyone is a complainer. I had XM and now I have sirius. The music is better and the nascar coverage is better. If you don’t want Stern don’t listen to him. As for paying to listen to sirius, all I can say is that I spend alot of time in the car and sirius is the best thing to happen to those of us who log many hours on the road. Local radio sucks!!! The only beef I have with sirius is they don’t broadcast the channel over the internet, but hopefully that’s on the way. So, don’t knock it until you’ve tried it. Thanks sirius and thanks NASCAR.

I also chose XM because of NASCAR. I’ll not get Sirius because of several of their policies, and I’m becoming a little cold with NASCAR for selling out their subscribers.

A person that pays for listening to the radio really needs help. Only difference is local radio has commercials, big deal. Probably these Commercials is the only thing that keeping you to have a job. Lot of people are on the road everyday. I rather to listen to the radio For FREE or put in a CD. Its Funny that #24 complaining about others complaining. You have # 19 downing people that listen to Oprah and Nascar. In their eyes, so called real nascar fans don’t listen to Oprah. Some people think it is stupid to listen to nascar on the radio. Isn’t that not like listening to golf or bowling on the radio? Just about exciting.

I bought a General Motors product because it has XM Radio and NASCAR. Now Brian France has sold out to the highest bidder with the sole purpose of placing more money in his family’s pockets. Thankfully we still have Clair B. Lang, Dale Jr. and Jimmie Johnson. I have been a NASCAR fan since 1958, but Brian France is beginning to wear on my patience.

i bought a xm inno about 2 months ago, i didnt know at the time that nascar was not going to be on there anymore, i could have bought sirius, but i chose xm because of the nascar, well, i guess i screwed up there because nascar sold out to sirius, which i wouldnt buy anyway, so i feel like 300 bucks for practically nothing, i just got of the phone with a xm rep. and she basically gave me the run around about nascar and the merger, mine actually showed the nascar channel on my xm for a couple of hours one day, but since has disappeard, i am picking up a few other new channel however, but not nascar, i have a few friends that have xm, and they are getting nascar now on there unit, but i have not seen it, i hope that with the merger i will be getting nascar very soon, if now when my 12 months of prepay is up i will not renew, if i had not already prepaid for a year, i would not even subscribe except for occasional months when im on vacation and on the road, i will not buy nascar through sirius, im dissapointed with nascar and the slow handing of the merger, we should already be sharing the channels, all i have right now is just an expensive half gig i-pod
