Bill Elliott To Attempt 2007 Daytona 500

Thursday January 4, 2007
It was announced this week that Bill Elliott would attempt to qualify for the 2007 Daytona 500. Although Elliott retired from full-time competition after the 2003 season, he ran 10 events last year including the Daytona 500, where he finished 19th. Elliott has won the Daytona 500 twice in his career. Can he still get the job done in 2007?

Best of luck, whatever banner you fly. I, like so many, would love to see your smilin’ face lookin’ out the window of a Ford. If it’s something else we’ll deal with it. It’s the man we all like. The engine that pushes him around the track is secondary.

NOT REAL RACING.I TRIED TO WATCH A COUPLE RACES LAST YEAR BUT COULDN T WATCH THE FINISH. ITS LIKE WATCHING A STAGED EVENT.I KNOW OF A LOT OF PEOPLE WITH THE SAME OPINION,AND THEY HAVE QUIT WATCHING ALSO.TOO BAD,ONCE WAS A REAL EVENT.I ALSO HAVE CONTACTED SOME OF NASCAR’S ADVERTISERS TO LET THEM KNOW THEY ARE WASTING TIME AND MONEY TRYING TO GET TO ME AND OTHERS.NASCAR IS ON THE DOWNHILL SLOPE. WATCH WHAT I TELL YOU IN A FEW YEARS. WARREN MILLER

In any car it’s great to see Bill Elliott out there.

January 17, 2007 at 7:13 pm
(48) Pat says:

I have read all the good comments and I have read all the bad. I see that lots of people still have ill feelings toward our champ, just as they did in the mid 80’s. As told so many times Bill is of but few words. He does his talking on the track. Hmmm, I just wonder why NASCAR came up with those restrictor plates? Did Awesome Bill really warp their world that much. You know 212 is very fast. As said earlier take the plates off and let Bill loose.

(51) Terry Burnette says:

Growing up in Atlanta, especially in racing the scene,I watched Bill come up
through the shorts tracks and move to
dominate the Nascar events in 1985.
He is clever and could pick them off in Daytona. All he needs is a good setup and good engine.Go Bill…#37 watch out boys….
