2006 Chase For The NEXTEL Cup Contenders

Monday September 11, 2006
2006 Chase For The NEXTEL CupThe 2006 Chase For The Cup contenders are now locked in. Only these ten drivers have a chance to win the 2006 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup Championship. The points have been manually set so that tenth place Kasey Kahne is only 45 points behind leader Matt Kenseth and there are just ten races remaining in the season.

Any of these drivers could walk away with the Cup from here. Realistically though, does a rookie or a 21 year old really have what it takes to win it all?

Here is a complete rundown of the 2006 Chase For The Cup Contenders

i, along with my family think that the way is chase is set up (@ this point in time) isn’t fair. the drivers still have the same points that they have had before now. why not erase all points from here till homestead & go from there. this way it seems like it would be alittle more fairier to all of the drivers. and, also maybe allow 5 to 10 more drivers into the chase. why 10? thank you very much. anita jo prater

do you all have any idea how annoying the sound of Jeff’s voice is? the man never even shuts up long enough to take a breath! give us a break! Please! It is bad enough announcers never shut up long enough for a person to just enjoy the race, but the sound of this man’s voice makes me want to scream.
