Travis Kvapil Lands in the Tide Ride

Monday December 26, 2005
Travis Kvapil announced today that he will be replacing Bobby Hamilton Jr in the #32 PPI Motorsports Tide ride for the 2006 NASCAR NEXTEL Cup season. Kvapil's former ride, the #77 Kodak car, won't be on track in 2006 since Kodak pulled out leaving Travis out in the cold. This is a real win-win as Kvapil didn't have a ride and Bobby Hamilton Jr. simply hadn't performed in the #32. I believe that Kvapil has the skills to bring the team back into solid top 20 contention. Hamilton, on the other hand has never impressed me a great deal and I believe that he needs to return to the Busch Series for additional experience.
