The focus will be on NASCAR itself this weekend as a string of extreme penalties last week brings the focus to the sanctioning body. Is NASCAR getting too extreme in their punishments? Are points penalties fair? Should NASCAR have disqualified Jimmine Johnson and second place Kyle Busch like they would have in the old days and given the win to Kurt Busch who was the only guy in the top three that passed inspection? The race will likely be a good one, but the politics of the sport itself will take center stage this weekend.
