Ouch! NASCAR Hands Out $102,000 In Daytona Fines

Wednesday February 23, 2005
Today NASCAR announced its penalties for various rules infractions in Daytona. The biggest of these went to Robby Gordon in his first race as a car owner. Even though Robby failed to make the field he will have to pay $50,000 plus suffer the loss of 25 car owner points for an unapproved intake manifold.

Robby has no driver points because he didn't make the race, but he received car owner points just for attempting to make the race. Here is the complete list of fines from NASCAR Online.
